What Makes Our Technology Unique?
Our concept
is simple and similar to the charging alternator associated with the internal
combustion engine. What differentiates our technology from other hybrid vehicle
technologies is, we eliminate the internal combustion engine (ICE) used to
charge the batteries. We replace the ICE with our
patented hydraulic system that harvests and converts the vehicles
kinetic energy into mechanical energy (horse power) needed to operate the
onboard voltage generator.
What Is Regenerative
Braking And Kinetic Energy Recovery?
Today’s
electric vehicle uses a form of regenerative braking technology that helps to
increase the battery range of a vehicle. This type of technology has major
limitations and works only when the vehicle is in deceleration (braking) mode.
When decelerating the polarity of the electric motor is switched and the
inertia (kinetic energy) of a vehicle is used to turn the motor into an
oversized voltage generator. The energy produced (voltage) is sent back to the
batteries to be re-consumed by the motor. This type of energy production is
fractional (less than 20%) of the energy consumed by the electric motor and is
limited in its ability to increase the range of the batteries.
How Do You Harvest Kinetic
Energy?
Our
patented use of hydraulics is the first hybrid solution that offers a real
time source of energy from the vehicle’s kinetic
movements. The hydraulic system is a self contained high density
hydraulic loop that incorporates a series of hydraulic pumps embedded into the
suspension system of the vehicle. The pumps work similar to the shocks that
absorb then dissipates the kinetic waste energy (from the pitch and tilt,
and linear force movements) when tires roll over bumps and imperfections on the
road surface. The suspension pumps do the opposite by harvesting and
converting the same kinetic waste energy into hydraulic fluid energy.
What Is Fluid Energy?
Hydraulic fluid energy is achieved when the embedded hydraulic
pumps are activated and pressurizes a hydraulic system. The pumps maintain
proper amounts of (PSI) pressure and (GPM) fluid to operate a
hydraulic motor placed within the hydraulic loop. The hydraulic motor converts
the fluid energy into mechanical rotary energy that maintains a controlled
amount of (hp) horse power required to operate a voltage generator under
load.
How Is Energy Produced To Charge The
Batteries?
Operation of the voltage
generator at a consistent controlled (RPM) provides proper voltage to
charge the batteries of the vehicle. (When the voltage is not required by
the batteries, the voltage is consumed directly by the electric motor).
This unique hybrid energy solution has the ability to increase voltage to
the batteries by three or four times before the battery requires a
full plug-in electrical charge. The increased energy equates to increased range
(distance) in the order of one mile for every 450 watts of energy generated.
